She was nervous.

Linnea stood at the full-length mirror and smoothed down the silky black fabric that barely covered her ass. She wasn’t nervous about how she looked, though. Well, maybe a little. The dress was short, totally backless and cut so low the dimples at the base of her spine were visible. Chloe assured her when she tried it on that it was the perfect little black dress for her to wear to the club anniversary party. They’d spent almost the entire day at the salon getting ready for the event. Both of them were perfectly manicured and pedicured, with fresh blowouts and makeup expertly applied. Linnea studied her reflection. Nope, she was not nervous about how she looked.

Tonight was important and she knew how much Brendan wanted it to go well. On top of running the club, he’d spent countless hours for the past several weeks planning everything to perfection. Linnea had another couple weeks of summer break from her college classes left before her senior year started, but Brendan convinced her she could always use extra practical experience, so she agreed when he enlisted her to assist him with planning some of the event details, the details that had nothing to do with debauchery. That part was all on Brendan.

She had no clue what he had in store and she wasn’t sure she wanted to know. Linnea had come up with an idea for the club to roll out an after-party breakfast bar in the wee hours of the morning at last call. Brendan told her he trusted her and loved the idea. He had a shameless grin on his face when he commented that the guests would need to fill their bellies after all that fucking.

Their carnal appetites would be sated and so would their bellies.

Decadence seemed to be the theme here and she put it on the menu. She worked closely with their chef at Charley’s and came up with sinfully delicious things to serve like dark-chocolate crepes filled with strawberry yogurt and topped with powdered sugar, sliced strawberries, and fresh whipped cream, then drizzled with melted chocolate. Tantalizing dark chocolate perfection for your taste buds. What was more decadent than that? It was important to her that Brendan and his cousins, Kyan especially, were pleased with the outcome. She was confident they would be.

The party was invite-only. Linnea had seen the exclusive guest list and the band members of Venery weren’t the only celebrity names on it. There were artists, best-selling authors, politicians, models, actors, professional athletes, and other famous names she recognized. She wasn’t sure, but she thought most of them were just invited VIPs and not actual club members like the Venery boys. They couldn’t all be into kink, could they? It was a little intimidating to think that perhaps Kyan actually knew and associated with these beautiful people, and when she thought about it, it was a lot overwhelming to realize she herself might very well be seeing them in the flesh—as in naked.
